Este trastorno causa problemas higiénicos y sociales a quienes la padecen,  principalmente las mujeres. Existen varios tipos de incontinencia, siendo los más frecuentes:
• IU de esfuerzo. Se caracteriza por la pérdida de orina asociada a cualquier actividad física o movimiento de la persona que la sufre. Se produce ante esfuerzos como toser,  coger un peso… En este tipo incontinencia el paciente no tiene sensación de ganas de orinar y suele afectar a mujeres de entre 25 y 65 años. (more…)
